Courtney has 10 years of experience working with students with disabilities. While studying a Bachelor of Education (Primary / Disability Studies) she worked as an education support aide, gaining valuable experience supporting individuals with disabilities at a mainstream high school, primary school and special school. Once graduated she began teaching in Special Education where she remained for five years. During this time, she taught in the classroom and as a specialist teacher in Drug and Alcohol Education and Sexuality and Relationship Education. Courtney is endlessly passionate about SRE because it is a human righting she believes that everyone deserves to have a range of healthy and fulfilling relationships, alongside a toolbox of support and skills to keep themselves safe, happy and healthy. She utilises a trauma informed , harm reduction approach and is dedicated to adapting her teaching to meet each participants individual needs.
