Professional Bio
Jennifer is a higher-education communication specialist with research expertise gained in both the university and government sectors. Her PhD and Master’s research investigated reading through the lens of digital communication, with a focus on promoting inclusive practice for university students who read English as their second language.
She has also spent more than 10 years working as a professional communicator at the University of Melbourne, Monash University, Monash College and Melbourne Business School. She currently works for the School of Social and Political Science in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne, supporting their partnership with the Brotherhood of St Laurence.
She has experienced disability firsthand as a family of member and carer for people with disabilities, as well as someone living with disability herself.
