Presentation Description
The Navigating My Way (NMW) project aims to help mental health consumers to get what we need from the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Led by those with lived/living experience of psychosocial disability, it values genuine co-design, self-advocacy and lived experience.
It aims to create accessible NDIS self-advocacy resources and information so that current and prospective NDIS participants, and service providers can understand their needs and rights when navigating the NDIS.
NMW strives to make a positive difference in empowering mental health consumers and the wider community to be their own advocates and to access much needed supports.
